Budget Control Act
Following weeks of drama on Capitol Hill during the summer of 2011 that nearly caused an unprecedented default of the U.S. government’s debt obligations, Congress passed and the president signed into law the Budget Control Act of 2011 (BCA) (Pub.L. 112-25, S. 365).
The historic legislation will have far reaching consequences for all aspects of federal spending and tax policy over the next decade. WSC analyzed the legislation and developed a white paper entitled “Overview of the Budget Control Act of 2011” as a resource for its clients on how this law will impact future spending and tax policy.
Affordable Care Act
The Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148, P.L. 111-152) fundamentally reformed private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, health professions training programs, and prevention and community health programs. Every health care provider is impacted by the ACA and its implementation.
WSC closely tracked the development of the ACA with an eye towards its impact on dentists, both as health care providers and as small business owners. Following enactment of the law, WSC prepared a detailed white paper explaining in granularity every provision of the legislation related to dentistry, oral health care, and small businesses.
